I hope this journal finds you all happy and well.

Time to update my journal. Ive been back at work now 3 weeks and so bogged down to the point that I feel like I didnt even have a break. This has seriously curtailed my relax time impacting on my art grrrrrrrr. Also the time it takes to comment and fav on messages and deviations in here now with this new format sux big time. So when I get time to relax, that time is eaten away by catching up in here and before I know it...its time for bed and I havent even started a new piece. But Im sure you've heard it all before from so many others as well.


Well on to something a bit different and something I would like to share with you all. I have mentioned it to a few people aready but I think its worthy of a journal entry because its a wonderful concept.

A few months back I accidently came across this Aussie product that allows you to download their software for free whereby you design your very own coffee table book or diary. It provides you with templates, layouts, fonts, etc etc so you can tweak it to however you want it to look and you upload the photo's, artwork etc. They then print and bind the book for you in either glossy or matt pages, you also have many choices with covers too, and can have glossy slip covers or even embossed writing on your cover.
The overall cost considering these books are professionally bound is really very reasonable and you only pay around $80AU for the actual cover and binding, plus $1 AU per page that you have printed, cheaper if you have it made in a diary size. Your book can also be viewed online as well.
Now...unfortunately this product is only available in Australia and New Zealand (for now) but I know that the many Aussies that watch my work might be interested in this product as its such a wonderful way of showcasing your wonderful talent in your art and photography or even a family photo momento.
For those overseas that want this product, they can still download the software and submit an order but I would say after having spoken to the people at Momento just this morning in regard to your options ( I wanted to have the facts for you so I called them), that you would perhaps have to organise your own shipping or alternatively if you have a friend or family over here they could do it for you. Where theres a will theres a way as the old saying goes.
I just wanted to share this with you all as I know of those I have already told, a few have already used this product and love it. NO....I am NOT a representative of this company so I am not touting for them. I just think its a great concept and wonderful gift idea for friends and family at Christmas time as well as for YOU the artist to have a portfolio of your own wonderful works.


P.S. Whether I am in breach of my DeviantArt membership rules in having posted this article, I am yet to find out but hope that I am not. If I am, I guess I will be told soon enough one way or another.



On to other things now....
I would like to thank all the wonderful Deviants in here who over the last month have featured my work in their journals and also in news articles. You all know who you are and I thank you as always for your wonderful friendship and support. With this new format, I have decided, right or wrong that I will only respond on comments and new deviations. So if you fav my work and I dont thank you, please dont be offended because I truly DO appreciate all of the support I get in here in every way but I just dont have the time to sit here for hours and hours thanking and rethanking for thanks on thanks. Im sure you know what I mean and I hope you all understand.
