~...It had been a hundred years ago since Yvette was forced to leave Paris. She had incurred the wrath of Count Dracula for hunting on his grounds, often snatching his prey moments before he would strike. She was getting more and more bold with each strike. It was on one cold dark night that she had seen him stalking his prey and just as he had pulled his next victim against him, she had swept forward with lightning speed and swiftly sunk her teeth before he could. His anger was explosive but as swiftly as she had struck, she flew off into the darkness in the guise of a bat. She had heard the low hiss of his whisper as he said..."That will be the last time..."
She knew then, that it was time to leave, to find new hunting grounds far, far away.

And as it was, for the last hundred years she had been feeding her blood lust on unsuspecting prey in London. Attending the lavish parties of noblemen and women, where she was known as The French Widow and it was with disappointment by the hosts of these parties if she didnt attend. She would dance with the Lords and rich businessmen, watched on with jealousy and anger by their wives and the single women at these gatherings. She would bide her time courting these men and she would take them as lovers. Sooner or later, these men would be found dead but Yvette always had an alibi. For as swiftly as she would take their lives, she would within seconds of their death, be seen in public at yet another party.
But now she was getting bored with her life in London. She had missed her home yearning to be back in Paris. Stories of home were of a most wonderful structure that had been built called the Eiffel Tower and since the grand opening on May 6th, 1889, it was touted as the most wonderful architectural marvel of all time. Visitors came from near and far to see this imposing edifice, many travelling from across the oceans to witness the beauty of this structure. Paris was overflowing with people and to Yvette this meant more than enough fresh blood for all to share.....surely way too much for Count Dracula alone.

So it was that she had decided to return to her home and now as she was about to cross over the river and into the city, the yearning hunger for fresh blood gnawed deep inside her. She hesitated only momentarily as she turned and went forth into The Feeding Grounds.....~
