~....The white blinking dot appeared on the city's long range detection scanner two hours ago and it was heading toward the city. By all accounts they estimated they had eight hours before it would arrive.
Jumper battleships were deployed immediately to take them out before they got any closer. Within minutes of the Jumpers being launched the signal disappeared from their scanners, as if into thin air. It was obvious whoever they were, they had detected the Jumpers and must have cloaked their ship.
They could take no chances, Atlantis was in danger from this unknown threat. Their power levels were at full capacity and the command was given to raise the protective shield around the city.
The Jumpers were enroute to the last known location of the intruder and the shield had barely closed over the city when suddenly Atlantis was rocked by an almighty power surge hitting the shield.
The surge was coming from directly above the city being beamed down by a Replicator Warship. It was trying to penetrate the shield but the shield was holding up.
It had come out of nowhere, they thought they had eight hours before it would arrive but they were wrong. It was here and it was here NOW and even though they had full power on the shield, the power surge being beamed down on them through an Energy Portal, was starting to drain their power.
They had to get the Jumpers back to Atlantis....they had to defend themselves but their signals to the Jumpers were being blocked by the power surge.

How long could they sustain this forcefield beaming down on the city......how long before the Jumpers would realise that all contact with the city was lost.....~



NOTE: The above story is MY version of how I have tried to visualise this scene renaming equipment and ships based on stock images available at time of making of this piece.
Fans of Atlantis will know that my version is not entirely correct in how it was played out in the series but hey......we can't always have it the way we would like it.
